The first step involves securing an admission to a Canadian Designated Learning Institution (DLI) that has been recognized by the government of Canada. After the student receives the crucial letter of acceptance from a DLI, they can now apply for a study permit. Applications are either made through online or by mail.
All the new study permits are now issued at a Canadian port of entry. An applicant who submits a request for the foreign Canadian Visa Office will be given a letter of approval which states that they should next travel to a Canadian port of entry for getting the study permit, which corresponds to the duration of the student’s education.
